manufacturers due to their huge business opportunities. Street lamps are an important part of urban lighting. Traditional street lamps often use high-pressure sodium lamps. 

The low-efficiency of high-pressure sodium lamps as a whole has caused huge waste of energy. Therefore, it develops new high-efficiency, energy-saving, long life, high color 

rendering index and environmental protection. Street lights are of great significance for urban lighting energy conservation.

LED street light features:

The high-power LED street lamp is different from the conventional high-pressure sodium lamp street lamp. The high-power LED street lamp uses a low-voltage DC power supply, a high-efficiency white light diode synthesized by a GaN-based power type blue LED and a yellow phosphor, and a light emitting diode (Light Emitting Diode). LED) is a high-efficiency solid-state light source based on a semiconductor PN junction that emits light with weak electrical energy. Under a certain forward bias voltage and injection current, the holes injected into the P region and the electrons injected into the N region are diffused to After the source region is irradiated and combined to emit photons, the electric energy is directly converted into light energy.

LED as a light source for street lamps has many advantages over conventional street light sources.

1.LED street lamp itself has the directivity of light, no light diffuse, to ensure light efficiency;

2. The LED street lamp has a unique secondary optical design. It illuminates the illumination area of the LED street lamp to the required illumination area, i.e. the road surface, which further improves the illumination efficiency and achieves the goal of energy saving.

3. The light source efficiency of LED has reached 100 lm/W at present, and there is great room for development. The theoretical value can reach 250 lm/W. The luminous efficiency of high-pressure sodium lamp increases with the increase of power. Therefore, the overall light efficiency of LED street lamp is stronger than that of high-pressure sodium lamp.

4. LED street lamp has a higher color rendering performance than high-pressure sodium lamp. The color rendering index of high-pressure sodium lamp is only about 23, while the color rendering index of LED street lamp can reach more than 75. Considering from the perspective of visual psychology, the light intensity of LED street lamp can be reduced by more than 20% on average than that of high-pressure sodium lamp (refer to British road lighting standards); moreover, under the level of intermediate vision, the human eye is exposed to high-color and high-temperature environment. It is easier to distinguish things in low color temperature environment than in low color temperature environment, which avoids the occurrence of some dangerous conditions.

5. LED street lamp's light decay is small, less than 3% in one year, and it still meets the road illumination requirement after 10 years'use. Therefore, the design of LED street lamp's use power can be lower than that of high-pressure sodium lamp.

6. LED street lamp can automatically dim light, meet the lighting requirements of different periods, reduce power as much as possible and save electricity.

7. LED is a low-voltage DC device. The voltage driving a single LED is a safe voltage, so it is a safer power supply than using high-voltage power supply, especially suitable for public places. The characteristics of DC make LED especially suitable for combining with solar energy and wind power.

8. The crystal size of each LED unit is very small, so it can be fabricated into devices of various shapes, and it is suitable for the changeable and earthquake-prone environment.

9. Long life: theoretical life can be used for more than 50,000 hours;

10. LED can be switched on and off frequently without fear of damage.

11. Easy installation: directly install the LED street lamp head to the lamp post to replace the original sodium lamp head.
